9/4/2017 0 Comments diy flower crownsHey y'all! Between golf, school, and adventuring, this is the first time in a while that I've had time to blog!
Yesterday, on my latest adventure, I went to a field full of blooming, aesthetic flowers and took fun pictures. At this field of flowers, you can pick as many assortments and amounts of flowers that you want for FREE! That right there is my idea of heaven! When I was picking some of the flowers, I had the idea to make a flower crown. Now, whenever I see flower crowns online, they are faux flowers, so I knew making this tiara of blossoms would be difficult! However, after it was all said and done, it ended up being a very simple project! What you'll need: Thin twine rope - one piece little longer than the circumference of your head - eight three inch pieces Floral/ Scotch tape (Floral blends in better, but scotch tape works just as well) An assortment of different sized flowers Step one: Make eight small arrangements of flowers. This is where your personal preference comes into play; You can either make them each the same, or make them all different for a one-of-a-kind project. Step two: Tie each individual arrangement together very tightly with the twine. If you feel this is not strong enough, you can also add a small piece of tape around the base. Step three: Tie/ tape each arrangement on the longest piece of twine that fits around your head. Make sure they are secure so the flowers do not fall off. Step four: Tie the flower crown around your head, so it gently rests on top. From there, fill in any empty spaces with flowers, or until it reaches your liking. I even used some babies breath and rosemary from my garden. Step five: Take pictures and enjoy!

8/6/2017 0 Comments My five day instagram hiatusHey yall! As my returning blog post, I wanted to make it exciting; because of that, I took a five day break from Instagram! I am a IInsta addict, from watching food videos to reading blogs to keeping up in my friends lives. While I have other social media accounts I keep up with, Instagram is probably my favorite, so I knew this would be tricky for me. To kick off the adventure, I simply deleted my Instagram app. - In the past, I've tried doing that, but I re-download the app in a matter of hours. This time, I realized I would never finish my main goal: not be a social media addict! - When my friends told me to "Like my picture on Instagram", it felt weird not automatically doing it! After the first two days, though, I realized that it was a lot easier than I had expected Whenever I really wanted to go on Insta, I simply went on Pinterest and pinned fun ideas and outfits, or simply got off of my phone altogether. Now, I have started to use it less and less, because I realized even though social media accounts may be very fun, it can not be a constant, all day everyday thing. For any media addicts like me, I highkey reccomend doing a social media hiatus for a couple of days :) I

1/29/2017 2 Comments bucket listHey y'all! Since this is my very first blog post, I thought posting my bucket list, would be a good way for y'all to get to know me better! First of all, look at all of these gorgeous pictures I found on Pinterest! In each picture, at the top right-handed corner, I have a number, and that's the order I will be listing!
1. Go to an airport, buy a plane ticket on the spot, and go! I think this sounds so fun and adventurous! It would be a fun challenge to plan the trip on the spot! 2. Float in the Dead Sea! It's gorgeous! I think it would be fun to float in it & also explore the areas surrounding, as they are in the Bible! 3. Go backpacking across Europe! Go everywhere and do everything! I've always wanted to do this! 4. Visit a black sand beach! The one in the picture is in Hawaii, but there are multiple around the world. 5. Go in a hot air balloon! I think this would be so cool! They have hot air balloon flying near me, and I would really like to try it! 6. Visit the tulip fields in Holland I've always loved tulips! This would smell beautiful & act as a quality photo-op! 7. Go to a green sand beach! I am all about going to the beach, especially different colored! 8. Go snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef! Inspired by Finding Nemo, it would be gorgeous! I went snorkeling in Belize a couple years ago, and it was one my favorite days ever! 9. Go to Fez! It's a Gilmore Girl's thing ;) One of the first times that Rory and Richard spend quality time together, she tells that she would love to visit Fez in her lifetime. A while later, her grandfather gives her an envelope entitled "For Fez". 10. Visit all of the Disney Parks! This is not in the collage, but I think it would be an amazing experience to see how the different parks interpret Walt Disney's vision! Here are some things on my bucket list! I hope you enjoyed my first blogpost! Comment some things on your bucket list below! Xoxo, Alyvia |
